The OGmend® Implant Enhancement System leverages a unique biotextile to enhance fixation between screws and bone in orthopaedic surgery. The device creates a uniform fit between screws and bone, distributes load away from
high-pressure points, and enables boney ingrowth to enhance fixation and promote bone healing.
Indications of use
The OGmend® Implant Enhancement System is intended for use with spinal fixation devices where the
screw has lost purchase due to screw loosening, back out, or breakage.

Material
OGmend® is made from Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), a thermoplastic polymer resin used in synthetic fibres (most notably, Dacron Sutures). PET is biocompatible and has been FDA approved for over forty years for human use. PET provides OGmend® with the strength, flexibility, elasticity, and permanence to withstand extreme torque, mold to unique bone environments, accommodate a range of screw types and diameters, and provide lasting effect.
